Brierley Hill Civic: Stories from the Stage – Sat 19th September

Let Brierley Hill in Bloom lead you on a colourful journey through the town centre this Heritage Open Day.

Five specially designed planting schemes create a trail between participating venues and activities, helping visitors navigate the wider programme while discovering stories from Brierley Hill’s past.

Each group of planters has been inspired by a different person, place, landmark or industry that helped shape the town. The carefully chosen flowers, foliage and colours contain clues to the heritage they represent.

For generations, Brierley Hill Civic has brought people together for performances, celebrations and shared experiences.

For Heritage Open Days, the poster display panels mounted outside the Civic will become an open-air exhibition exploring the history of the venue and the wider story of entertainment in Brierley Hill.

Historic photographs, memories and stories will celebrate the performers, audiences and community events that have helped make the Civic such an important part of the town.

The exhibition will create an engaging stopping point between the other Heritage Open Day venues across Brierley Hill, allowing visitors to explore the Civic’s story at their own pace.
